Max Houghton
Managing Director Max is our Managing Director, having joined the Group in 2020 and stepping into his current role in 2025. He brings over 15 years’ leadership experience in the legal, financial services, and contact centre sectors. Max specialises in unsecured and secured collections, large-scale debt recovery litigation, and CCA-regulated debt claims. He is authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and leads the firm’s strategy for growth and client success.Ben Dougal
Head of Legal Practice Ben joined us in August 2025 as our Head of Legal Practice. A solicitor since 2013, he has nearly 20 years’ experience in civil litigation, from high-volume claims to complex multi-track disputes. Ben has also led legal operations in private practice, working closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies. His focus is on innovation and efficiency, ensuring clients receive robust legal services in today’s fast-changing environment.Paul Alker
Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) Paul is a solicitor with 18 years’ PQE and more than 25 years’ experience in civil litigation and consumer debt recovery. As our COLP, he drives compliance and governance across the firm, ensuring we meet the highest regulatory standards. Paul has designed compliance and audit frameworks for major debt portfolios and oversees our client reporting to guarantee clarity and accountability. His focus is keeping us ahead of regulatory change while delivering solutions that are efficient, transparent, and cost-effective.Karen Fay-Booth
Head of Operations Karen became our Head of Operations in February 2025, bringing over 30 years of senior leadership across contact centres, correspondence, quality assurance, and coaching. She has worked across diverse industries with a strong focus on customer service and collections. Before joining us, Karen held a senior role in the enforcement sector, where she drove operational efficiency and service excellence.
